About The Position

The Hammond, Louisiana branch is seeking a skilled and motivated Commercial Roofing Sheet Metal Foreman to join our growing team! This position is responsible for leading the installation of architectural and structural sheet metal systems on commercial roofing projects. The Sheet Metal Foreman will oversee a crew, ensure all work meets quality and safety standards, and collaborate with Project Managers to maintain production schedules and job site efficiency.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial roofing sheet metal installation.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening as a condition of hire.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record that meets company and insurance requirements
  • Proficient in fabricating, assembling, and installing architectural sheet metal systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be comfortable working at heights and capable of safely using ladders and other elevated access equipment.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working on ladders, scaffolding, or lifts.
  • Must be able to bend, climb, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record that meets company and insurance requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience leading a sheet metal crew or acting in a foreman capacity preferred.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification (preferred or willingness to obtain).
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and perform the installation of sheet metal components, including coping, edge metal, downspouts, gutters, flashings, and custom fabrications.
  • Ensure precise layout, cutting, and assembly of sheet metal materials in accordance with shop drawings and specifications.
  • Inspect completed installations for proper fit, finish, and waterproofing integrity.
  • Supervise and direct sheet metal crew members, providing daily task assignments and on-the-job training.
  • Foster a team environment focused on safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Provide hands-on leadership and set the standard for craftsmanship and performance.
  • Communicate and coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to align work schedules and resolve site issues.
  • Ensure timely availability of materials, tools, and equipment required for installation.
  • Interpret construction drawings, roof plans, and specifications to ensure accurate execution.
  • Promote and enforce all OSHA and company safety policies, including the use of PPE and fall protection systems.
  • Conduct job site safety inspections and daily toolbox talks.
  • Monitor work for conformance to quality standards and correct deficiencies promptly.
  • Maintain daily logs of work performed, crew attendance, and material usage.
  • Report project progress, challenges, and safety incidents to management in a timely manner.
