Sheet Metal Foreman
About The Position
RQ Construction is looking to hire a Sheet Metal Foreman to join our self-perform team for ongoing work in Pensacola, FL and the surrounding areas. All work is to be performed on the military base and is paid the required Davis-Bacon prevailing wage, specific to the NAS Pensacola military base. The Sheet Metal Foreman oversees the daily supervision, direction, and coordination of assigned Sheet Metal crews. This includes ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the quality standards, project requirements, and deadlines established for the job. The crew performs the fabrication and installation of ductwork, air distribution systems, and HVAC equipment on active construction sites while following applicable codes and standards. The Foreman applies mechanical knowledge, ensures the proper use of tools and equipment, and reinforces required safety practices in support of RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Two or more years in a Sheet Metal Foreman capacity.
- Three or more years (or equivalent) field or trade work experience as a journey-level sheet metal worker in a commercial, industrial, or facilities operations setting.
- Computer literacy
- CPR/First Aid & OSHA-30 Certifications
- EM-385 & STS Required.
- All candidates considered for hire must provide evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization at the time of hire.
- All candidates must successfully pass a drug screening and commercial criminal background check, including a stricter Department of Defense background check, for access to job site at military base (if applicable for position being hired for).
Nice To Haves
- Courses in HVAC Technologies, construction management, engineering tech, etc. preferred.
- Government, military, or large commercial construction experience preferred.
