Sheet Metal Fabricator - Press Brake Operator (2nd Shift)
About The Position
Mission Critical Group (MCG) is seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator for its 2nd shift operations. This role is crucial in transforming raw technical drawings into precise, high-quality metal parts for custom switchgear and control systems that power essential industries like data centers, telecom, banking, and pharmaceuticals. The operator will be responsible for setting up and operating Accurpress machinery, fabricating parts to meet tight tolerances, performing quality control checks, and maintaining equipment. Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a Press Brake Operator in a manufacturing environment (setting up and running the brake press equipment).
- Proficiency with an Accurpress (or equivalent manual press brake).
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Understanding of metal forming principles.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Team player with clear communication skills.
- Reliable and hardworking.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Accurpress control systems.
- Forklift certification.
- Vocational training in metal fabrication.
Responsibilities
- Select the right tooling, set up the Accurpress (or similar) machinery, and dial in the settings for the perfect bend.
- Interpret complex blueprints and work orders to produce parts that meet tight tolerances.
- Use calipers, micrometers, and protractors to verify your own work.
- Keep your equipment running smoothly with routine maintenance and care.
