Sheet Metal Fabricator - HVAC
About The Position
Sandium has proudly served the San Jose area for decades. Our team is committed to craftsmanship, safety, and delivering excellent service to our clients. We are looking for a motivated Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our team. The Sheet Metal Fabricator will work with our installation and service teams to fabricate and assemble HVAC ductwork and sheet metal components. There may be times when they help with installation as well. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in HVAC sheet metal fabrication, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- MUST have a minimum 6 months of HVAC sheet metal fabrication experience
- MUST have 5+ years of sheet metal fabrication experience
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems and ductwork installation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, and work in varying conditions.
- Reliable transportation to job sites in and around San Jose.
Nice To Haves
- EPA certification or HVAC training.
- Welding experience.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate, cut, bend, and assemble sheet metal parts for HVAC systems
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal machinery safely and effectively.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and safety regulations.
- Assist team members with installations and troubleshooting as needed.
- Assist with the install of ductwork and related components according to specifications as needed.
