About The Position

Wildstone is a General Contractor currently looking for a 3rd or 4th Year Sheet Metal Apprentice to join our Mechanical team. We work on a variety of projects including Wastewater/Water Treatment Plants, Energy and institutional projects, new multi-family builds, and commercial builds. The role involves travel for work to locations throughout BC, the Yukon and occasionally the Northwest Territories. Crews typically work 21/7 rotations, travel in and out of various locations, and work 10-hour shifts on average. In this role, you’ll work independently, collaborate with skilled tradespeople, and support our Journeypersons as you continue to learn the trade.

Requirements

Registered Sheet Metal apprentice in your 3rd or 4th year.
Experience working on ICI projects.
Good working knowledge of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning – HVAC.
Follow building codes and regulations.
Dependable and a self-starter.
History of working safely and making sure equipment is in the best working order possible.
Willing to travel to various locations in Canada.
Willing to obtain the following tickets: Fall Protection, WHMIS 2015, Elevated Work Platform, Level 1 First Aid, and H2S Alive.

Responsibilities

Assisting with the installation of ductwork, ventilation systems, and make-up air systems.
Read and interpret blueprints/drawings, and work with specifications.
Assist in repairing existing air and heat ducts and exhaust hoods.
Fasten components using various methods.
Operate tools and equipment with care, making sure everything stays in great shape for the job.
Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
Take on other tasks as needed.
