About The Position
ATCO Structures & Logistics is looking to hire a registered Electrician Apprentice (3rd Year, 4th Year)/ Journeyman to join their Calgary and Rockyview Manufacturing Plant. Under the guidance of a Lead Hand or Journeyperson, the Apprentice Electrician is responsible for the wiring of modular units from rough to finishing. This is a union-based role.
Requirements
- Actively registered Apprentice Electrician 3rd or 4th year or a journeyman.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Ability to work safely with a wide variety of hand and power tools as well as materials.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience with modular units is considered an asset
Responsibilities
- Assisting and or wiring modular units from rough-in, to finishing
- Assisting in and or installation of wiring units, panels, and fixtures
- Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts.
- Troubleshoot and test all electrical wiring units and fixtures in modular units.
- Perform quality inspections and inspect tools and the shop.
- Use hands and power tools.
- Follow all safety procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
