Looking for mechanically inclined individuals with familiarity of construction looking to build a career in a commercial/industrial setting. This role requires the individual to plan, lay-out, assemble, install and repair sheet metal parts, products and equipment, utilizing knowledge of working characteristics or metallic and non-metallic materials, machining and lay-out techniques.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- Completion of Pre-Employment Background Check, Drug Screen and Physical, Strength Assessment, and Safety Training for Construction Trade
- Minimal travel required within Michigan
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Punctual
- Self-Starter/Motivator
- High School Degree or Equivalent
- Basic math skills
- Able to read tape measure
Nice To Haves
- Previous trades training is a plus but not required
Responsibilities
- Fabricate, assemble, install and repair sheet metal equipment products and structures
- Select gauge and type of sheet metal according to products being fabricated and knowledge of metal
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or products specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabrication, assembling and installing sheet metal products
- Coordinate assigned activities
- Interpret job orders as needed for area work
- Install and direct installation of assemblies in building or work site
- Follow all company policies and adhere to stringent safety regulations
- Work within scheduled time frames and estimated hours for completion of job
