About The Position

As the Site SHE professional, you will be at the heart of operations, driving a zero‑incident culture and making a visible impact on the safety, health, and security of people and the environment. This role combines hands‑on shop‑floor presence with strategic influence, partnering closely with site leadership, production teams, and projects. You’ll have real authority, autonomy, and exposure to plant management while shaping how SHE is lived every day on site. Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing and SHE‑related roles.
  • Hands‑on experience with SHE management and core SHE topics, including PSA, HAZOP, Machine Safety, Industrial Hygiene, JSA, LOTOTO, Confined Space Entry & Rescue, and Safe Work Permits.
  • A technical or production/production‑support background with knowledge of manufacturing and related SHE disciplines.
  • Ability to support project and design evaluations, understand financial information, and use standard systems and software (e.g., MS Office) for reporting and analysis.

Nice To Haves

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental or Safety disciplines, preferred.
  • Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP®) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute the site SHE plan to achieve an injury‑free and incident‑free workplace and promote a zero‑tolerance SHE culture.
  • Provide SHE and Security expertise and visible shop‑floor support to ensure daily operations, projects, production and maintenance comply with DSM and local SHE/Security requirements.
  • Establish, maintain, evaluate and continuously improve the site SHE management system in full compliance with DSM standards and local regulations.
  • Advise, challenge and support site management and employees on SHE matters, demonstrating strong technical and behavioral SHE leadership.
  • Drive incident prevention and learning by promoting reporting, leading incident and near‑miss investigations, managing follow‑up actions and sharing lessons learned.
  • Manage site security and provide SHE support during audits, projects, change management (MOC), and improvements in cooperation with relevant stakeholders.
