About The Position

SHE (Strong Healthy Empowered) is a pre-teen program that works to support the mental, emotional, social, and physical health of pre-teen girls through education, discussion, and skill-building. This program runs from October-April on a bi-weekly basis. Under the direction of the Mental Health Manager, the SHE Facilitator is responsible for administering the curriculum of the program and leading group-based discussions.

Requirements

  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • Ability to relate to diverse groups of people.
  • Excellent oral communication and public speaking skills.
  • Requires ability to effectively interact with and motivate people with a variety of abilities and needs.
  • Experience working with youth and teens.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Bloodborne Pathogens/Child Abuse Prevention every year

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with small groups, either as an educator or a mentor.
  • Young individuals who are searching to gain mentorship experience (Senior year in High School is acceptable).

Responsibilities

  • Administer curriculum of the program and lead group-based discussions.
  • Attends planning sessions as required by the Mental Health Manager.
  • Conducts research on various topics for program meetings.
  • Commit up to 3 hours to program on a biweekly basis (Including program & planning).
  • Accurately tracks participant numbers for reporting to Mental Health Leadership.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
