About The Position

The SHE Coordinator is responsible for supporting and coordinating all site-level Safety, Health, and Environmental activities to ensure compliance with local, governmental, ISO 14001 & 45001 standards, and Mondi requirements. This role partners closely with site leadership and employees to maintain a safe, compliant, and continuously improving work environment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in safety, health, and environmental roles within a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, environmental regulations, and safety best practices
  • Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization
  • Confident communicator with solid presentation and training skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint)
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Willingness to obtain Incident Commander, HAZMAT, and DOT transporter qualifications within 12 months

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental, or related field preferred
  • Relevant certifications (NEBOSH, OSHA, RCRA, DOT) are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate emergency response activities and support the site Emergency Response Team
  • Lead and coordinate monthly safety inspections, audits, and corrective actions
  • Support emergency preparedness including evacuation drills and rescue planning
  • Partner with operations to maintain strong safety presence in the field
  • Support incident investigations including root cause analysis and follow-up actions
  • Coordinate contractor safety compliance and communicate non-conformances
  • Manage fire protection equipment inspections, maintenance, and related records
  • Develop and deliver safety training modules; evaluate effectiveness and improve content
  • Support site security processes including access control coordination
  • Manage hazardous waste handling, storage, and shipments in compliance with regulations
  • Complete and submit environmental and hazardous waste reporting requirements
  • Conduct routine inspections of safety systems, equipment, and environmental controls
  • Support development and implementation of site safety, emergency, and security procedures
  • Manage the occupational medical surveillance program and external provider relationships
