About The Position

The SharePoint System Administrator works under general and routine direction, using discretion in identifying and resolving complex problems and assignments. They usually receive specific instructions and have their work reviewed at frequent milestones. This role determines when issues should be escalated to a higher level and has minor supervision and oversight responsibilities of junior level employees. The administrator performs a broad range of work, sometimes complex and nonroutine, in a variety of environments, applying a methodical approach to problem definition and resolution. They understand and use appropriate methods, tools, and applications, demonstrating an analytical and systematic approach to problem solving. The role involves taking initiative in identifying and negotiating appropriate personal development opportunities, demonstrating effective communication skills, and contributing fully to the work of teams. Planning, scheduling, and monitoring of own work (and that of others where applicable) is done competently within limited deadlines and according to relevant legislation and procedures. The administrator absorbs and applies technical information and works to required standards.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of experience.
  • Experience with integration of SharePoint with other software/tools.
  • Experience building new SharePoint project sites.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
