About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled SharePoint Online and Power Platform Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center (MCMWTC) in Bridgeport, CA. This is a high-visibility, mission-critical role where you will serve as the command's Information Management Officer (IMO) liaison, ensuring that critical information flows seamlessly to support decision-making for formal schools, Service Level Training Exercises (SLTE), and base/installation operations. As the sole IM SME on-site, you will be embedded within the MCMWTC S-3 Operations Section, directly enabling commanders and their staff to leverage modern collaborative tools to maintain situational awareness and make timely, informed decisions in a dynamic operational environment. You will be the bridge between the command's operational requirements and the technical capabilities of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.

  • MS-900: Microsoft 365 Fundamentals
  • MS-700: Teams Administrator Associate
  • PL-300: Power BI Data Analyst Associate
  • PL-900: Power Platform Fundamentals
  • PL-400: Power Platform Developer Associate
  • MS-721: Collaboration Communications Systems Engineer Associate
  • PL-600: Power Platform Solutions Architect Expert
  • Five (5) years of cumulative, hands-on experience developing and managing Power Platform products (Power Apps, Power BI, and Power Automate).
  • Five (5) years of cumulative experience developing, managing, and implementing solutions for a SharePoint Online site, including data management, information architecture, and permissions management.
  • One (1) year of instructional experience delivering Information Management (IM) training.
  • Must currently possess OR be eligible to hold a Secret clearance or higher.
  • Must be eligible for a Common Access Card (CAC).
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Must be available to work on-site Monday through Friday, 0730-1630 (7:30 AM - 4:30 PM).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Applied Skills, Modern Work, or Business Applications credentials.
  • Familiarity with Marine Corps Orders and Policy (e.g., MCO 1553.1B, MCO 3120.10A).
  • Prior experience supporting military training commands or operating within a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
  • Experience with knowledge management and information governance principles.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, deploying, and maintaining the MCMWTC SharePoint platforms, including managing site permissions, lists, libraries, pages, and workflow-related functionality.
  • Developing, configuring, updating, and maintaining Power Platform solutions, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
  • Analyzing business and information requirements to design SharePoint/Internet content prototypes and establish content solutions using Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, and the Power Platform.
  • Instructing functional area users on SharePoint techniques, search strategies, and functionality.
  • Troubleshooting user-reported issues and providing recommended solutions to the Government.
  • Facilitating the Information Management/Knowledge Management Working Group at the direction of the MCMWTC Deputy Director.
  • Participating in higher headquarters (TECOM and MAGTF-TC) working groups to ensure effective collaboration and end-user support.
