The SharePoint Developer reports to the MSTP Project Manager and receives work direction derivatives from the Communications and Information Systems Lead. This role involves serving as the lead for analyzing and developing solutions to satisfy MSTP objectives, with expertise across application/system analysis, infrastructure, and solution architecture. The developer will create Microsoft SharePoint 2013/2016 sites for mission-critical collaboration and information sharing for geographically dispersed government teams. Responsibilities include maintaining site collections, sites, master pages/templates, pages, Web parts, content types, lists, libraries, workflows, and navigation using Microsoft Designer and Infopath. The role also requires installing, maintaining, administering, and troubleshooting DoD PKI Cryptographic Logon and PK-Enablement of MSTP SharePoint services. Collaboration with military and contractor functional/technical leads is essential for producing solution design documents and process flow charts, as well as developing intranet, content management, and document storage solutions. The position requires maintaining the current Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2/2016, IIS websites, and SQL Server 2012 R2 environment, including OS and directory services management, patching, monitoring, performance tuning, and virtualization support. Development of SQL components (procedures, functions, tables, views, triggers, indexes), management of SQL database architecture, and planning/execution of upgrades are required. Administering disaster recovery solutions for SharePoint and SQL using best practices and government tools (e.g., Symantec NetBackup) is necessary for ensuring continuity of operations. Finally, assessing and mitigating risks to SharePoint services, evaluating threats and vulnerabilities, and ensuring continuity during service disruptions are critical aspects of the role.
