About The Position
Woodfords Family Services is seeking dedicated Shared Living Providers to join our expanding program throughout Maine communities. As a Shared Living Provider, you will offer family and home-based support to adults with intellectual disabilities, helping them improve their independence. You will provide direct assistance within your own home or apartment, fostering a nurturing family atmosphere that encourages relationships and community involvement. This role serves as an alternative to group home living and focuses on supporting individuals in areas such as education, employment, community access, family inclusion, and independent living skills.
Requirements
- Must currently reside in Maine & have a spare bedroom
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Valid Driver's License
- Personal vehicle with current auto insurance
- Ability to complete and maintain compliance with all required trainings
- Pass background checks
- Pass home inspection
Responsibilities
