About The Position

CLASS LTD is hiring an individual to provide direct support to the Director of Shared Living in assisting individuals in finding a caring, family atmosphere. Shared Living services through CLASS provide a natural, supportive, extended family environment for adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities to thrive. This role involves delivering companionship, assistance in daily living activities, coaching on coping with challenges and completing daily tasks, assistance with basic medical needs and household chores, transportation, supervision/safety and a caring and supportive relationship. The Shared Living Program Assistant provides operational, administrative, and compliance support for the Shared Living Program. This position works closely with the Director of Shared Living to ensure providers, individuals served, and program documentation remain compliant with state, agency, and organizational requirements. The Shared Living Program Assistant serves as a resource for Shared Living Providers, assists with on-boarding and training, maintains documentation, tracks documentation timelines, and helps ensure the efficient daily operations of the program. The successful candidate will have a passion for enriching the lives of individuals with disabilities, a caring personality, and an ability to be attentive to details. They will be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and pass a background check regarding criminal offenses and child/elder abuse. Experience is appreciated but not required, as training will be provided.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Pass a background check regarding criminal offenses and child/elder abuse.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and electronic documentation systems
  • Compose written material, i.e. tracking documents
  • Read and comprehend written materials generated by CLASS LTD, i.e. policies and procedures
  • Works and honors commitments to participate as an effective member on teams
  • Maintain current and valid driver's license of the state of residence and be determined as an "insurable driver" by the automobile insurance carrier for CLASS LTD
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local laws regarding communicable and infectious diseases and CLASS policies rules and practices regarding medical examination or immunizations
  • Ability to pass all required background screenings and pre-employment drug screen.
  • Flexibility with work schedule as required

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in human services, social work, Healthcare Admin, or management preferred
  • 2+ years working with the IDD population preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day operations of the Shared Living Program.
  • Assist with recruiting, screening, on-boarding, and daily operations of the Shared Living Providers.
  • Maintain provider, individual, and program records to ensure compliance with agency policies and state regulations.
  • Monitor documentation for accuracy, completeness, and required timelines.
  • Coordinate annual reviews, renewals, and training required for providers.
  • Assist with quality assurance activities, audits and compliance reviews.
  • Serve as a point of contact for routine provider questions.
  • Coordinate meetings, home visits, and training schedules.
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, spreadsheets, and program tracking documents.
  • Collaborate with internal and external departments as needed for the completion of job duties.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all PHI and organizational records.
  • Participating as On-call support during normal office hours and as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.
