About The Position

UCP of Maine is seeking a dedicated and motivated Shared Living Coordinator to support adults with Intellectual Disabilities and Autism in living full, meaningful, community-connected lives. Join a collaborative team and be part of an organization committed to dignity, independence, and inclusion. This position includes a mix of hybrid work with travel to Shared Living homes. Shared Living Providers support individuals in their private home; they provide adequate supervision and support based on needs and desired goals as identified in their Person-Centered Plan. The Shared Living Coordinator provides direct oversight of contracted Shared Living Providers and plays a key role in ensuring high-quality, person-centered services for members participating in Shared Living. You will build strong relationships with Shared Living Providers, members, guardians, and teams while ensuring that services meet all expectations, regulations, best practices, and member identified needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • One (1) year of experience in social services.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Willingness to complete DSP, CRMA, and First Aid/CPR certifications (training provided).
  • Valid State of Maine driver’s license, reliable transportation, proof of registration and insurance, and willingness to use personal vehicle for work travel.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience or knowledge of supporting individuals with disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct oversight of contracted Shared Living Providers to ensure adherence to all program expectations, regulations, protocols, and quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain Service Implementation Plans that clearly describe the services and supports provided to each member, ensuring documentation reflects community inclusion, personal choice, skill-building, and progress toward goals.
  • Support the growth and development of the Shared Living Program, contributing ideas, identifying opportunities, and helping expand access to high-quality Shared Living options across Maine.
