As a Shared Laboratory Resource Assistant, you will provide essential support to laboratory operations by supporting the cleaning and processing of animal cages within the Biological Resource Unit. A caregiver in this role works days from 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- After selection and placement into this job, three months on-the-job training to learn department laboratory procedures, instrumentation and CCF policies

Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of support activities at a lower scientific complexity level and function as a key support to the operations and research customers.
- Notify senior personnel or a supervisor of equipment malfunction or other issues that need immediate attention.
- Perform quality assurance on all assigned activities per procedures or SOPs.
- Assist with collecting, receiving, processing, transporting, or storing supplies from various labs.
- Receive/answer and process departmental communications through iLab ordering system, email, phone and/or voicemail or other method.
- Perform appropriate cleaning procedures for specific areas and maintain adequate stock of supplies as needed.
- Complete three months of on-the-job training to learn department laboratory procedures, instrumentation and Cleveland Clinic policies.
