About The Position

Our Credit Union is growing! With the growth Sage Credit Union is experiencing and the development and expansion of our teams and departments, we are excited to be seeking the next member of the new Transaction Services Team. The Share Draft Specialist will perform Share Draft (check) functions and deliver direct member service. Provide support by listening, thinking, and taking action to meet needs and provide solutions for internal and external members in the fulfillment of Pacific Crests mission of providing our members and communities with the opportunity to prosper; both by directly assisting members and fellow team members with account and share draft related support. Requirements

  • 1-2 years of financial services or related experience preferred.
  • 1-2 years of exceptional customer service experience preferred.
  • Basic working knowledge of Word and Excel.
  • Strong analytical, decision making and complex problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent technical skills.
  • Self-motivated to learn and grow within the position.
  • Proven attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Process, post, and reconcile daily share draft posting files.
  • Process daily share draft exception files.
  • Perform daily ATM check hold release and fraud review.
  • Perform daily Mobile Deposit check processing and fraud review.
  • Work with appropriate Branch or Department on suspected fraudulent share draft related transactions.
  • Process share drafts returned unpaid per rules and regulations.
  • Process share draft adjustments to and from Federal Reserve.
  • Process share draft related general ledger reconciliations and assist with research of out of balance issues.
  • Work with credit union staff to assist with share draft related transaction research.
  • Complete daily and monthly required reporting.
  • Ensure share draft procedures are accurate and up to date.
  • Provide second tier support for staff on account/transaction related issues.
  • Support fellow team members, ensuring the department’s purpose and responsibilities are fulfilled.
