Shake & Shingle Inspector
About The Position
Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is seeking a Shake & Shingle Inspector to join their Building & Construction team in Washington State. This role involves conducting quality assurance inspections and grading various shake & shingle products at mills. The Building and Construction division of Intertek is an industry leader in providing product and project solutions across multiple architecture, engineering, and construction disciplines. They offer risk management, quality assurance, testing, inspection, and consulting services to ensure the reliability, safety, and performance of developments, assets, and facilities. Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Millwright or in a similar industrial role
- Technical diploma or combination of education and experience
- Must be familiar with Microsoft Office software and have good written and oral communication skills
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
- Valid driver's license and reliable driving record is required
- Able to travel 75% of the time
- Must reside in and be able to legally work in the United States
Responsibilities
- Perform grading inspection of cedar shakes and shingles in the mill
- Complete inspection reports and follow up on corrective actions
- Coordinate inspection activities with clients
- Become knowledgeable of all shake and shingle grading rules and the relevant standards
