About The Position

Applicants will be considered for the Shag Driver position. Shag Drivers will be responsible for the safe and efficient handling of Tyson shag trucks and our customer’s trailers, following all plant policies and procedures. The Shag Driver will keep the shag truck clean at all times.

Requirements

• Must be dependable, work well with others, self-motivated and willing to come in early and stay late, when necessary.
• Must have a valid driver’s license (Motor Vehicle Record will be reviewed).
• At least 18 years of age.
• No DWI or DUIs in the last 12 months.
• Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• Able to provide proof of authorization to work legally in the United States.
• Pass a urinalysis screening, which is part of the post-offer health assessment.
• Willing to work B shift.
• Willing to work up to 6 days a week, Monday through Saturday.

Nice To Haves

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• A minimum of 6 months experience driving heavy equipment or trucks is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safe and efficient handling of Tyson shag trucks and customer’s trailers.
• Following all plant policies and procedures.
• Keeping the shag truck clean at all times.
• Communicating effectively to receive work orders from the dispatcher over the radio.
• Relaying information to other co-workers.
• Reporting issues to management.
• Completing daily paperwork.
