About The Position
ETTA, a unique and respected non-profit within the Jewish Community of Los Angeles, has been making a positive difference in the lives of adults with autism and other intellectual and developmental disabilities since 1993. Join our Shabbos Staff at one of ETTA's Residential Group Homes, where you will assist Jewish adults with making kiddush and hamotzi, walking to shul, singing songs, and participating in other Shabbos traditions. This role offers an opportunity to do a big mitzvah by supporting Jewish adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Requirements
- Must be well-versed in Jewish culture and traditions
- Live Scan (DOJ / FBI) background check required
Nice To Haves
- Some professional or personal experience knowing or supporting individuals with special needs is beneficial but not required
Responsibilities
- Assist Jewish adults with making kiddush and hamotzi
- Assist Jewish adults with walking to shul
- Assist Jewish adults with singing songs
- Assist Jewish adults with participating in other Shabbos traditions
