As a key member of Anduril's recruiting team, you will be a specialized Contract Design Recruiter, responsible for attracting and hiring world-class Design talent. You will play a critical role in our continued rapid growth, bringing a strategic and hands-on approach to building our design organization. You will collaborate closely with Design Leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver on ambitious hiring needs. To achieve this, you will be given the autonomy and tools to execute on our strategy to build and develop Anduril's world-class team. We are looking for someone who can handle every aspect of the design recruiting lifecycle and is excited to be part of a small, impactful team where no task is too big or too small. This position is open to 6-month Contract employment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of direct, full-cycle recruiting experience specifically focused on creative roles that include: Industrial design, Interaction, Brand, Motion, Environmental, Concept, and Video.
  • Proven experience conducting thorough portfolio reviews and assessing design capabilities (e.g., interaction design, visual design, user research methodologies, industrial design processes) against technical, creative, and cultural requirements.
  • Deep understanding of the design landscape, including current trends, tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, CAD software), methodologies, and talent pools across various design specializations.
  • Experience managing strategic stakeholder relationships, particularly with Design Leaders and Hiring Managers, driving strategic recruiting efforts based on business needs, profile calibration, and providing transparent pipeline progress via reporting.
  • Experience acting in a consultative manner, where your guidance on market conditions, talent availability, and candidate expectations has led to improved outcomes and a positive candidate experience within the design space.
  • Clear and effective communication with design candidates to understand motivation, drivers, and cultural fit within a fast-paced, high-impact organization.
  • Experience managing various funnels of design candidates and keeping track of their progress throughout the recruitment process using an ATS.
  • Highly autonomous but highly collaborative, thriving in a dynamic, high-growth environment.

Nice To Haves

  • In house brand team, design or advertising agency experience.
  • Experience recruiting for senior to leadership-level design roles within a complex product or hardware-software environment.
  • A strong network within the design community and familiarity with specific design portfolio platforms (e.g., Behance, Dribbble, Medium, personal websites).
  • Multiple years of experience working at an agency or fast-paced startup environment, particularly one with a strong product or engineering culture.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth interviews and comprehensive portfolio reviews of potential industrial design, interaction, brand, motion, environmental, concept, and video candidates, demonstrating ability to anticipate hiring manager preferences through high interview-to-offer ratios.
  • Engage passive design candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean strings, referrals, SOBO campaigns, and specialized design communities, platforms, and industry events.
  • Partner closely with Design Leadership to understand team needs, define role requirements, and craft compelling value propositions specifically for design talent.
  • Drive a diverse talent pipeline into the organization ensuring a positive candidate experience at every touchpoint, from initial outreach to offer acceptance.
  • Represent Anduril's brand and recruiting team internally and externally, articulating our unique design culture and impact.
  • Leverage internal resources and market insights to build strategies around selling our value proposition to top-tier design talent.
