About The Position

This position is responsible for supporting the coordination and implementation of the Sexual Violence Services Program (SVSP) under the direction of the SVS Program Manager. The SVS Program Coordinator assists with fiscal tracking, contract monitoring, compliance, and the provision of technical assistance. This position ensures that program activities align with federal and state guidelines and supports the delivery of equitable, survivor-centered services across South Carolina.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma and relevant program experience.
  • A high school diploma and relevant program experience in public health, social work, public administration, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional experience in program coordination, grant administration, public health, or victim services.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered in meeting the minimum qualifications, subject to approval by the DPH Chief Human Resources Officer, or their delegate.

Nice To Haves

  • A bachelor’s degree and relevant professional experience in public health, human services, business administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in administrative support, program coordination, or grants management is preferred in accordance with South Carolina Department of Public Health hiring standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the statewide coordination of SVSP activities, including scheduling meetings, tracking deliverables, and preparing documentation for grant reporting.
  • Support the development and implementation of programmatic initiatives, training, and evaluation activities.
  • Maintain program files, including subrecipient reports, training records, and communications.
  • Assist in preparing materials for federal applications and progress reports.
  • Monitor incoming invoices for completeness and accuracy; assist in tracking payments and expenditures in coordination with the fiscal team.
  • Maintain internal tracking systems for budgetary compliance and reporting deadlines.
  • Support documentation and reconciliation of expenses and invoices tied to SVSP contracts.
  • Maintain a calendar of contract deliverables and assist with the review of subrecipient reports and documentation to ensure compliance.
  • Assist in data entry and management related to program performance measures and quality improvement activities.
  • Support program audits, site visits, and the preparation of compliance documentation.
  • Assist in the coordination and delivery of training and technical assistance for subrecipients, including the development of training materials, guides, and communications.
  • Provide timely and responsive support to local program staff and community partners.
  • Collaborate with other public health staff and community organizations to support equitable and trauma-informed services.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SVSP requirements, federal regulations, and community needs to help inform program priorities.
  • Promote cultural humility and survivor-centered approaches in all program activities.
  • Participate in internal meetings, workgroups, and professional development opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the SVS Program Manager.
