Crisis Services is seeking a Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner (SAFE) Program Manager to lead our SAFE Program. We are looking for an experienced professional from the nursing, public health or healthcare administration fields who is interested in leading our commitment to provide a coordinated, respectful response to sexual assault victims across Western New York. Assistance with relocation to the Buffalo, NY area may be available. Crisis Services is a 24-hour comprehensive crisis center and community resource whose first responders save lives by restoring safety, promoting emotional strength, and reducing the impact of trauma through intervention, education, prevention, and community collaboration. The Crisis Services’ Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner (SAFE) Program provides on-site forensic services at hospitals to individuals who have been sexually assaulted within a 120-hour period and are seeking help. The SAFE Program Manager is responsible for the overall operation of the SAFE Program, ensuring trauma informed, patient centered forensic services for hospitals contracted with Crisis Services. The Program Manager oversees the forensic nursing team, including recruitment, training, development, case review, and program evaluation. The Program Manager also partners with hospital leadership to maintain high-quality health and forensic care for sexual assault patients, strengthen policies and procedures, and monitor program outcomes.
