About The Position
Compassionate care, advocacy and creating a safe and helping environment for sexual assault victims are top priorities for the SANE Registered Nurse. You will collect evidence accurately and timely from patients in sexual assault cases and initiate appropriate referrals and follow-up care. You will work with the patient as a partner in care, communicate their needs and involve patients and families in the care process. Requirements
- Associate degree in Nursing
- Completion and passage of an Adult/Adolescent/Pediatric Sexual Assault Training Program.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
- Current state license as a Registered Nurse.
- Current BLS
Nice To Haves
- BSN
- SANE program training
- 3+ years of nursing experience
- Michigan RN license
- SANE-A &/or SANE-P
Responsibilities
- Collect evidence accurately and timely from patients in sexual assault cases.
- Initiate appropriate referrals and follow-up care.
- Work with the patient as a partner in care, communicate their needs and involve patients and families in the care process.
- Participates in SANE “on-Call” schedule with adherence to business unit guidelines.
