About The Position

The Level I Sewing Technician will be responsible for entry level duties in the sew shop as assigned. This role involves supporting the auto cutter operator, processing slings through the production line, attaching tags, and sewing various products with oversight. The technician will also have a basic understanding of machine mechanics and must follow all health and safety rules, maintaining a clean and orderly work area.

Requirements

• Ability to operate commercial sewing machines and banders.
• Strong math, reading and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with smart phones, computers and software including Microsoft Office.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months of related warehouse or manufacturing experience required.
• Prolonged periods sitting, using tools, and performing repetitive actions.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time and 75 pounds max with assistance.
• Must have good hand/eye coordination.
• Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect products/tags/label.

Nice To Haves

• Has a basic understanding of machine mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Wraps and bands completed synthetic and ENR slings.
• Supports the auto cutter operator in cutting, folding, and marking slings and ENR sleeving material.
• Provides miscellaneous support for processing slings through the production line.
• Attaches tags onto synthetic slings.
• Sews towing products with oversight.
• Sews 1” and 2”, up to 2 plies, synthetic slings with oversight.
• Follows all health/safety rules and best practices.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
