Sewing Technician-Upholstery
About The Position
KI's Manufacturing plant in Bonduel has an opening on our first shift in our Upholstery Department for a Sewing Technician. The starting wage for this position is $19.00, with a $.50 increase after 6 months. The technician will be responsible for joining, topstitching, and c-jex material for all multi-functional chair and stool lines, ensuring quality output. Employees are required to rotate between both sewing and c-jex machines. Key duties also include troubleshooting sewing machinery, rethreading machines, winding bobbins, and adjusting edge guides.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand 8-10 hours a day
- Good eye/hand coordination
- Attention to detail to provide good quality products
- Ability to read a tape measure up to 1/32"
- Frequent sitting, bending and standing is required
- Previous industrial sewing experience
- Successful completion of a drug screen
