This position focuses on maintaining flow from plotting to the end of the sewing process. It assists sewers with technical questions as well as working with Product Development samples.

Requirements

  • Proficient in usage of specialized sewing equipment required to make a broad variety of sample types
  • Knowledge of garment construction
  • Knowledge of quality requirements by customer
  • Knowledge of and adherence to safety regulations
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite, file management, email, etc.
  • Marker plotting and operation of digitizer
  • Production order management
  • Understanding of specifications sheets and instructions
  • Cross trained in multiple sewing and assembly techniques
  • Understand relevant manufacturing procedures and policies
  • Expert understanding of Cleanroom garment construction requirements
  • Understands the application of AQL procedures
  • Proficient in company’s ERP system and product structures

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining flow from plotting to the end of the sewing process
  • Assists to sewers with technical questions
  • Working with PD samples
  • Uses patterns created by Product Development to cut, sew and assemble sample garments to meet customer requirements and specifications
  • Meets promise dates on orders running through sewing, embellishment and inspection
  • Able to read/pull BOM’s, specs from internal servers
  • Able to pull sample request information from company ERP system and update as needed
  • Follows company process for specification control(s)
  • Leads AQL activities for the company Charlotte site
  • Maintains machinery and a safe, clean work area
  • Others task as assigned by supervisor
