About The Position

Simpson Race Products, part of Holley Performance Brands, is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Sewing Operator to support the production of high-performance safety products in New Braunfels, TX. This position operates manual or automatic sewing equipment, completes assigned products according to established quality standards and production expectations, and may assist with assembly operations as needed. The schedule is from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with potential for overtime based on customer demand. The facility is climate-controlled, generally between 60°F and 90°F, and requires comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. This role operates within a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment.

Requirements

  • Previous industrial or production sewing experience is preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to learn sewing, cutting, and assembly processes.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to follow work instructions, product specifications, and quality standards.
  • Ability to perform repetitive, detail-oriented work accurately and consistently.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a busy manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work independently after training and collaborate with team members.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and occasional Saturdays based on production needs.

Responsibilities

  • Operate manual or automatic sewing machines and related equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect and maintain machine components, including plates, bobbins, needles, presser feet, and cutting blades.
  • Check machine oil levels and complete basic routine maintenance.
  • Sew assigned products consistently and on schedule while meeting quality standards and production metrics.
  • Inspect materials and finished work for defects, accuracy, and proper construction.
  • Troubleshoot basic machine problems and make adjustments within the employee’s training and authorization.
  • Contact a technician when equipment requires service or repair.
  • Maintain an organized work area and follow established safety, quality, and production procedures.
  • Accurately report production activity, quality concerns, material shortages, and equipment problems.
  • Cross-train in other departments to assist with production activity when needed.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Assemble and package products according to quality standards and production metrics.
  • Perform manual material-cutting operations.
  • Operate approved electric cutters and clicker presses after completing required training.
  • Assist with the assembly of accessories, restraints, HANS products, helmets, parachutes, and other assigned products.
  • Perform helmet gluing and general assembly work when trained and authorized.
  • Inspect completed assemblies and packaging for accuracy and quality.
