About The Position

Tempur Sealy is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Sewing Machine Operator to join their production team. This role involves operating industrial sewing machines to produce high-quality mattress components, ensuring precision and efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

Proven ability to follow detailed instructions accurately and consistently.
Capability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job (e.g., moving rolls of fabric, mattress components).
Strong commitment to team collaboration and working effectively with colleagues.
Demonstrated ability to work cohesively within a team environment to achieve common goals.
Excellent visual acuity to detect imperfections and ensure precise stitching and quality.
Ability to work in a standing position for a minimum of 8 hours or more per shift.
Frequent walking, squatting, turning, twisting, pushing, bending, etc. in a fast paced, high volume manufacturing environment.
Excellent attendance-must be reliable and punctual.
Must be willing to work overtime and occasional Saturdays.
Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

Operate industrial sewing machines to assemble various mattress components according to specifications.
Accurately interpret and follow verbal and written instructions for sewing patterns, materials, and production quotas.
Perform quality checks on sewn products to ensure they meet Sealy's high standards and identify any defects.
Load and unload materials onto and from sewing machines, which may involve heavy lifting.
Collaborate effectively with team members to maintain production flow and meet daily targets.
Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
Assist with other production tasks as needed.
