Sewing Machine Operator (1st shift)

About The Position

Klein Tools is hiring a Sewing Machine Operator to perform sewing machine setup and adjustments and support production quality and safety. The role may include winding bobbins and replacing needles, and requires knowledge of materials used in sewing operations. Operators are expected to identify in-process product imperfections and bring them to a supervisor or lead’s attention, follow safety procedures, and perform other duties as assigned. This position works 1st shift, from 5:45 AM to 4:15 PM. The role involves standing, walking or sitting; handling tools and controls; reaching, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling; and occasionally lifting or moving objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

Requirements

Two years of work-related experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Knowledge of using hand tools.
Basic mathematical, reading, writing, comprehension, and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to shift priorities.
Ability to work closely and effectively with employees and management staff.
Ability to perform the physical demands of the position, including occasionally lifting or moving objects up to 25 pounds and using the listed vision abilities.
