About The Position

The Sewing Inspector position is located in Claremont, NC. This role is responsible for assuring that cutters have separated sewing work correctly for each sewing operation, inspecting covers after zipper and border are sewn to assure the sewing is correct, and ensuring the border has been pulled correctly. The inspector will turn and inspect cushions before putting sewing packs together, inspect product using established standards, stage all sewn covers for the Make Ready area in Upholstery, and scan bundles for kit updates and location tracking within the manufacturing process.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience in Quality Control area with specific experience in upholstered furniture manufacturing environment.
Computer experience for tracking and updating kit location for customer service department.
Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to assure delivery requirements.
Ability to read, interpret and understand tickets.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Good communication skills – oral and written.
Ability to keep accurate records and follow documented procedures and standards.
Excellent time-management skills including ability to work independently with little supervision.
