Requirements

• Continuous walking short distances within the workstation.
• Frequent repetitive use of hands/arms while loading the machine, entering product numbers, and operating the sewing machine.
• Occasional bending over while moving border roles.
• Occasional overhead reaching while loading machine with components.
• Occasional pushing and pulling of rolls and borders.
• Occasional repetitive use of one foot to operate the sewing machine.
• Occasional grasping of border edges, paperwork, and scissors while closing the border.
• Occasional lifting and carrying of border rolls weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Occasional fine manipulation required to adjust the machine.

Responsibilities

• Putting a roll of borders (mattress sidewall cloth) on a spindle for a cutting machine.
• Loading handles to feed shuts at the top of the machine.
• Entering the product number on a touch screen.
• Operating the machine to attach handles and cut the border to length.
• Sewing the border closed.
• Moving the finished product to a storage cart.
