About The Position
We are looking for a Sewer to join our Operations Team at our Distribution Centre in Long Sault, ON. Reporting to the supervisor, the Web Sling Sewer is responsible for handling, manufacturing, and inspecting of web slings before shipping. The Sewer is required to work both independently, and as a part of a team, to create a quality product.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous sewing experience is required, preferably in industrial sewing
- Knowledgeable of various sewing techniques
- Able to safely lift 50 lbs. from floor level to waist level
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to accomplish multiple tasks in a timely and efficient manner
Nice To Haves
- Industrial sewing training provided internally
Responsibilities
- Manufactures web sling / tie down assemblies to specifications
- Makes customized assemblies by cutting, sewing, and folding
- Meets planned shipping dates for customer orders
- Responsible for quality assurance of all manufactured items from the webbing department
- Meets all production standards / expectations and specified requirements
