About The Position

As a Leather Sewer at Chrome Hearts, your role is pivotal in the crafting of our high-quality apparel and accessories, ensuring they meet our exacting standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of experience in operating single-needle machines in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
  • Prior experience working with high-end luxury clothing, especially with an emphasis on leather, is highly preferred.
  • Proficient in setting up and operating sewing machines and working with various fabrics.
  • Capable of swiftly learning all job responsibilities within an appropriate time frame.
  • Able to collaborate effectively with team members and possess excellent communication skills.
  • Basic skills in taking measurements for precise garment assembly.
  • Ability to sew according to design specifications and follow design sheets accurately.
  • Ability to handle a physical workload and repeat various manual motions during the shift, involving the use of feet, legs, arms, wrists, hands, and fingers.
  • Adaptability and ability to excel in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Eagerness to take on responsibilities with a strong sense of personal accountability.
  • Perform work in accordance with applicable company policies, procedures, and legal regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and sort materials to prepare them for crafting.
  • Set up the sewing machine by changing needles, securing attachments, and ensuring it's in perfect working order.
  • Inspect materials for any flaws or imperfections.
  • Stitch materials together using a variety of sewing machines, guiding the fabric with precision.
  • Monitor machine performance, detect and address malfunctions, and adjust settings as needed.
  • Employ hand-sewing and ironing techniques when necessary to achieve the desired quality.
  • Continuously inspect the finished product to maintain the highest level of craftsmanship.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of equipment by performing preventive maintenance, following manufacturer instructions, and promptly addressing any issues or repairs.
  • Organize and replenish spools of thread, cord, or other materials on machine spindles.
  • Display proficiency in sewing and be open to cross-training on other machinery.
  • Uphold a meticulous and organized work routine, paying close attention to detail.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area, strictly adhering to safety protocols.
  • Assist with related tasks as needed to contribute to the team's efforts.
