About The Position

Sew-On Operators are skilled technicians who use sewing machines to join, reinforce, decorate, and finish carpet products, ensuring quality and efficiency in production. The Sew-On Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining sewing machines to assemble and finish carpet products according to design specifications.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a sewing machine operator, preferably in carpet or textile manufacturing
• Familiarity with various sewing machines and their operations
• Strong attention to detail and quality control skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and patterns
• Physical stamina and manual dexterity to operate machinery and handle materials
• Ability to pull turf off core by hand.

Responsibilities

• Operate sewing machines to join Turf sections, braided yarn strips, or leno cloth for rugs and runners
• Adjust machine settings for different fabrics, stitching techniques, and thread types
• Monitor and troubleshoot machine operations to maintain smooth production flow
• Inspect finished products for quality, alignment, and adherence to design specs
• Perform routine maintenance on sewing machines, including cleaning, oiling, and replacing needles
• Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area
• Other duties may be assigned by Manager or Supervisor.
