About The Position

Radius Packaging is seeking an experienced Setup & Processing Supervisor, located out of our Delavan facility, to provide technical and operational leadership for our Setup and Processing team across blow molding and injection molding operations. This role is responsible for driving process stability, equipment performance, tooling optimization, and team development while ensuring safe, efficient, and consistent manufacturing operations. The Setup & Processing Supervisor will lead machine setups, process validation, troubleshooting, tooling improvement initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts that improve safety, quality, productivity, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Working closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering, this individual will serve as a key technical resource focused on reducing downtime, eliminating process variation, and building a culture of process discipline and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in blow molding, injection molding, or plastics manufacturing, preferably in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical expertise in machine setup, process control, tooling, troubleshooting, process optimization, and root cause analysis.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience developing and coaching technical manufacturing teams.
  • Proven ability to solve complex manufacturing challenges and drive sustainable process improvements.
  • Working knowledge of quality systems, preventive maintenance concepts, capability studies, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, SMED, Master Molder certification, or related technical certifications is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop Setup and Process Technicians while supporting onboarding, training, and technical skill development.
  • Oversee machine setups, startups, mold changes, process verification, and adherence to established process parameters and operating standards.
  • Drive troubleshooting and root cause analysis efforts to resolve processing, tooling, automation, and equipment issues.
  • Partner with Production, Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality teams to improve machine performance, reduce downtime, and enhance manufacturing reliability.
  • Support mold trials, new product launches, process validations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Optimize tooling, cycle times, process performance, and manufacturing efficiency while ensuring product quality and process consistency.
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing, SMED, and other continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, productivity, and waste reduction.
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety, GMP, food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
