Settlement/Escrow Closer
About The Position
As a Settlement-Escrow Closer, you will perform the duties associated with closing and settlement transactions for title insurance. This role requires effective communication with all parties involved in closing transactions, including borrowers, sellers, lenders, and real estate agents. You will be responsible for preparing and determining escrow requirements, generating necessary closing documentation, clearing title requirements, and managing the deposit and disbursement of funds from closings. Additionally, this role may involve construction disbursements and business development through participation in civic and Chamber events.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Title Insurance License and continuing education or ability to obtain licensing.
- Three years’ Title Insurance experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform the duties associated with closing and settlement transactions for title insurance.
- Communicate via phone and email with all parties involved in closing transactions (borrowers, sellers, lenders, real estate agents).
- Prepare and determine the escrow requirements for the transaction.
- Prepare necessary closing documentation to complete the sales transaction.
- Clear all title requirements needed for transfer of title.
- Deposit and disburse the funds from closings.
- Handle Construction Disbursements.
- Engage in business development and company promotion by attending civic and Chamber events.
