About The Position

SAIC is seeking an innovative Systems Engineering Technical Advisor (SETA) to provide direct customer support on a critical development effort. The role supports system development projects from inception through delivery, applying analytical expertise and a solution-oriented approach in a fast-paced environment. The position is full-time, day shift, and on-site in Sterling, Virginia, with no travel required. Applicants must currently hold a TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph. The target salary range is $160,001–$200,000, depending on experience and other factors.

Requirements

• Must currently hold a TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree and at least 9 years of technical experience.
• Demonstrated experience serving as a Systems Engineer on a complex development project involving hardware and software.
• Experience gathering and implementing system requirements.
• Ability to multitask on large, complex IT efforts.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with tracking requirements and needs using customer applications or tools.
• 10 or more years of experience working in the Intelligence Community (IC).
• Experience working on the development of autonomous vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Develop system requirements in collaboration with subject-matter experts and stakeholders.
• Analyze mission-level objectives and translate them into clear, stakeholder-oriented operational plans (CONOPS).
• Review developers’ system designs throughout conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design phases.
• Collaborate on verification and validation test plans and reviews to ensure systems meet customer objectives.
• Provide status reports and risk assessments, and identify opportunities for customer stakeholders.
• Monitor and manage project schedules to support timely delivery.
• Assist in preparing project review briefings for executive-level milestone presentations.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with customer and contractor stakeholders to foster collaboration.
• Represent the customer during key test events.
