About The Position
Under general direction of management personnel, performs a variety of task related to physical set up of installation of molds in a specific plant.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience in injection molding.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer experience.
- Must have forklift experience.
Responsibilities
- Help troubleshoot and make repairs to equipment at some.
- Do color changes on hoppers and grinders.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures.
- Performs mold/equipment changeover process.
- Remains “on-call” for equipment failures occurring outside of normal working hours.
- Monitor production schedule to assure that all equipment needed is in a production-ready state and to prepare for set up ahead of time.
- Identify and present cost-saving opportunities to assist Plant Manager.
- Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop/set up area.
- Help do material changeovers as needed.
- Keep equipment area clean.
- Assist tool room and Plant Manager as needed.
- Assist the Plant Manager with special projects as needed.
- Enroll in Apprenticeship program.
- Required to use a handheld propane torch on the production floor.
