Visit us at packaging.toppan.com Summary Description: Reporting to the Supervisor, the Set‑Up Technician plays a key role in supporting a safe, efficient, and high‑quality production environment. This position requires strong communication, reliability, and a commitment to TOPPAN’s culture of safety, quality, productivity, and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Previous manufacturing experience and/or relevant training
  • Ability to read and comprehend standard work instructions
  • Basic math and measurement skills
  • Strong attendance and punctuality
  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Flexibility to work changing schedules in a 24/7 operation

Responsibilities

  • Monitor job status on presses, including ink, paper, plates, dies, boxes (ensure 150 are made at shift end), acetate, and cores
  • Demount and store all completed job components
  • Open pallets of stock for Press Operators
  • Move completed-job pallets to the designated staging area
  • Maintain and clean the compactor and surrounding area
  • Empty and replace blue bins when full
  • Ensure the press area remains clean and organized, including removal of trash, pallets, and plastic
  • Inspect plates and dies; place damaged ones in the plate room for remaking (do not discard)
  • Assist Press Operators with changeovers
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace
