The Set Up Operator is responsible for the proper setup of existing jobs, including the installation of tooling, material, setting approved process parameters, programming automation equipment, conveyers, and ensuring the general readiness and robustness of these setups. This role also involves obtaining first piece approval from the quality department, performing first-time setups, and developing robust setups/processes for new jobs with the assistance of a process engineer. The operator will document setups, utilize scientific approved methods, manage time effectively, and contribute to the continuous improvement of setups. Maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly workplace, proper equipment maintenance, and adherence to all company policies and procedures are also key responsibilities. The position requires excellent attendance, the ability to work independently and in a group, good communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 55 pounds.
