About The Position

The Set UP Operator PB is responsible for the proper setup of existing jobs, including the installation of tooling, material, setting approved process parameters, programming automation equipment, conveyers, and general readiness of the job. This role ensures the robustness of these setups and is responsible for obtaining 1st piece approval from the quality department. The operator will perform first-time setups and develop robust setups/processes for new jobs with the assistance of a process engineer. Documentation of setups is required, along with the ability to set up and use scientific approved methods. The position emphasizes effective use of time, continuous improvement of setups, and maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly workplace. The operator must also maintain equipment properly and follow all company policies and procedures. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

Working knowledge of all Set-up requirements for production equipment and processes.
Able to operate a forklift, overhead crane, power tools, and computer if required.
Strong reasoning ability, able to analyze problems.
Good communications skills.
Team oriented.
Self starter.
Excellent attendance.
Ability to lift up to 55 pounds.
