Position Summary: To analyze, organize, plan, schedule and direct production associates in the activities required to assure maximum output with required product quality and with minimum downtime for all production in support of the Corelle Packing & Distribution process. To assist in the development and implementation of new and in the improvement of existing production programs and practices. To assess competency, develop and implement ongoing training programs to improve performance of assigned employees. Recognize, coach, and discipline personnel in accordance with personnel and operational guidelines.

Requirements

  • High School diploma required, Bachelor’s Degree- technical or engineering preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience (preferably in a union environment)
  • 5 years plus experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and 5S principles
  • Ability to make decisions, troubleshoot, problem solve and multi-task
  • Good verbal/written communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills, good team player
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills
  • Must be available to work any shift, primarily four, 10-hour days and cover overtime

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for operating 2nd shift which starts on Monday 9pm-7am through 7am on Friday.
  • Shift operations include secondary packing, palletizing, and material handling of finished goods.
  • Meeting all Human development, Safety, Quality, Yield, Conversion Costs Continuous Improvement goals and Objectives via Key Performance Metrics
  • Results driven and relentless in continuous improvement & lean manufacturing
  • Role model and champion of company's values and principals
  • Drive predictive and preventative production activities
  • Change agent- culture and processes generating a high performing operating team
  • Excellent communications skills to all levels of the organization
  • Creating positive and collaborative relationships with bargaining unit employees
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Office
  • Report daily shift performance for all production lines and shift production activities
  • Other duties as required
