2026 Summer Sessional Lecturer Positions
About The Position
The Institute of Communication, Culture, Information and Technology (ICCIT) at the University of Toronto Mississauga is inviting applications for Sessional Lecturer positions for the Summer 2026 term. These positions are open to qualified candidates who are not current University of Toronto students. The appointment dates for S-Courses are from July 1 to August 31, 2026, with actual work potentially extending into September 2026. Requirements
- Ph.D. in a relevant discipline and or demonstrated excellence teaching and advanced technological skills
- Completion of a graduate degree specific to the subject matter
- Experience in teaching a similar topic at the undergraduate level
- Record of research that reflects the subject matter
- Ability to meet deadlines and work well under time constraints
- Experience and ability to supervise teaching assistants (for CCT477H5S)
Responsibilities
- Design, administration, and teaching of a university credit course
- Preparation and delivery of course material
- Supervision of teaching assistants assigned to the course, if applicable
- Development, administration and marking of assignments, tests and exams
- Calculations and submission of grades to university officials
- Holding regular office hours
- Maintaining reasonable availability for student contact
- Travel to UTM to carry out duties unless indicated as online delivery mode
