About The Position

The Department of Curriculum Studies, College of Education is seeking Sessional Lecturers to teach specific courses during the 2026-2027 Regular Session in Prince Albert. These positions are for Term Two, running from January to April. The courses offered are SUNTEP PA ECUR 310 (Cree Social Studies in the Early Years) and SUNTEP PA ECUR 311 (Methods in K to 9 Mathematics I). Both courses are lectures with an expected enrollment limit of 30 students and are scheduled for Tuesdays from 1:00 pm to 3:50 pm. A valid driver's license is required for any off-campus courses. Appointment periods include additional days for preparation and marking. Courses may be cancelled due to low enrollment.

Requirements

  • A M.Ed. degree (or equivalent graduate degree) and relevant teaching or professional experience, or significant progress on a M.Ed. degree or equivalent.
  • Knowledge and understanding of First Nations, Metis, and Inuit culture.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the socio-economic and pedagogical factors associated with teaching Indigenous students.
  • A valid driver's license is required for any off-campus courses.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience teaching in community SUNTEP courses.

Responsibilities

  • Teach SUNTEP PA ECUR 310 (Cree Social Studies in the Early Years) during Term Two (January-April).
  • Teach SUNTEP PA ECUR 311 (Methods in K to 9 Mathematics I) during Term Two (January-April).
  • Prepare and mark course materials.
  • Potentially teach off-campus courses requiring a valid driver's license.
