About The Position
This position is for a Sessional Lecturer for the BTC1600/10H Biopartnering Seminar course. The course covers Current Trends in Biotechnology for Life Science and DHT professionals, focusing on Management and Operations series topics such as the Regulatory Landscape, Reimbursement in Biotech, Strategic Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting, and Team Management. Instruction will involve a sequence of invited seminars, student presentations, and instructor-based lectures. The mode of instruction is expected to be in-person, but may change with advance notice.
Requirements
- PhD and/or industry experience required
- Teaching experience in accredited courses at a recognized university
- MBA and significant industry exposure required
Nice To Haves
- Direct experience with courses focused on biotechnology management
- Experience with entrepreneurship at a graduate level
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching this course, or a similar course at the university level, with evidence provided from teaching evaluations
Responsibilities
- Preparation and delivery of course content
- Out-of-class interactions with students via e-mail and office hours
- Development, administration and marking of assignments, tests and exams
- Calculation and submission of grades
- Ordering all necessary readings
