About The Position
This position is for a Sessional Instructional Assistant for the course HMB306H1F – Ethical Considerations in Emerging Technology. The course explores the bioethical implications of emerging bio-technology, including topics such as ethical considerations in emerging reproductive technologies, genetic alteration/genetic enhancement, use of life support technologies, synthetic life, and life extension. Requirements
- Completed M.Sc. degree in a related field
- Basic knowledge of bioethics and ethical theory

Responsibilities
- Assist in preparation of course syllabus and course marking scheme
- Assist in teaching weekly lectures and tutorials
- Assist in marking assignments and exams
- Provide office hours for academic counselling of students
- Assist in setting and marking assignments/exams
- Assist in course administration in accordance with University regulations as described in the Faculty of Arts & Science Academic Handbook for Instructors
