About The Position

The Servicing Compliance Testing and Validation Auditor supports RoundPoint Mortgage Servicing LLC by conducting independent, effective testing and monitoring to assess compliance with applicable federal, state, and agency requirements, as well as RoundPoint policies and procedures. The role requires working knowledge of mortgage servicing activities and associated regulatory compliance requirements. The auditor performs loan-level testing, evaluates and documents results, works with operational partners to resolve findings, and supports identification and remediation of compliance gaps. The position also carries responsibility for helping meet RoundPoint’s compliance commitments.

Requirements

At least 3 years of mortgage servicing experience.
Experience identifying or evaluating mortgage loan servicing exceptions or control gaps.
Experience auditing loans, including reviewing loan files for accuracy, compliance with regulatory and investor requirements, and adherence to internal policies and procedures.
Experience researching and evaluating complex transactions or resolving issues using multiple systems and applications.
Experience identifying and testing compliance- and control-related activities.
Thorough knowledge of mortgage servicing activities and associated compliance requirements.
Familiarity with MSP and associated systems.
Ability to work collaboratively with others.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to independently prioritize and complete assignments while meeting reporting requirements and established deadlines.
Excellent time-management and organizational skills to manage multiple assignments with competing deadlines.
Ability to navigate testing scripts and question trees, interpret requirements, and evaluate whether actions taken were appropriate.

Responsibilities

Perform independent, in-depth, loan-level Servicing Compliance Testing and Validation (SCTV) testing using defined testing scripts.
Use appropriate subsystems and applications, seeking guidance from the SCTV Lead, Supervisor, or Manager as needed.
Evaluate test results to identify findings that indicate process or control weaknesses, gaps, or potential non-conformance with requirements, and document findings in the system of record.
Review testing-result assessments with the designated testing partner.
Partner with the SCTV Lead or Supervisor to communicate results to relevant operational lines of business and determine the disposition of findings as valid, eliminated, or mitigated.
Ensure testing and tracking systems are updated with thorough descriptions, supporting documentation, and rationale for testing results and finding dispositions.
Partner with the SCTV Lead or Supervisor to identify valid exceptions, ensure they are rated and documented, review them with line-of-business representatives, and record dispositions in the tracking system.
Calibrate with operational line-of-business partners to identify and document evidence of process or control gaps and actionable remediations.
Document compliance gaps when consensus cannot be reached, partnering with the SCTV Manager and Servicing Compliance to conduct gap assessments and support remediation planning.
Perform discretionary testing as required and report results to the SCTV Lead, Supervisor, or Manager as directed.
Maintain knowledge of the required audit scope, loan criteria, servicing activity, systems, documentation, and regulatory requirements needed to execute SCTV testing.
Maintain responsibility for meeting RoundPoint’s commitment to compliance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
