Servicing Compliance Manager (1025)
About The Position
The Servicing Compliance Manager is a senior-level leadership position responsible for overseeing compliance activities related to the servicing, default management, repossession, and asset management of manufactured home chattel loan portfolios. This role requires extensive experience managing compliance programs, building and implementing compliance management systems, and leading cross-departmental teams in a regulated lending environment. The Servicing Compliance Manager will design, implement, and oversee comprehensive compliance frameworks covering management reporting, policies and procedures, compliance controls, testing and monitoring programs, regulatory reporting, and staff training. This position serves as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on servicing compliance risks and regulatory developments affecting manufactured home chattel servicing, default management, repossession, and asset management operations.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of progressively responsible experience in compliance management within mortgage servicing, consumer lending, or financial services, with specific experience in manufactured home chattel lending preferred
- Demonstrated management experience leading compliance projects or initiatives
- Proven track record of designing, implementing, and managing compliance management systems in a regulated servicing environment
- Extensive experience developing and implementing policies, procedures, and compliance controls for servicing operations
- Strong background in compliance testing, monitoring, and audit methodologies
- Experience preparing regulatory reports and managing regulatory examinations or audits
- Experience with multi-state servicing compliance and state licensing requirements
- Expert knowledge of federal servicing regulations including TILA/Regulation Z, RESPA/Regulation X, FDCPA, FCRA, SCRA, and UDAAP principles
- Deep understanding of state servicing laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions
- Comprehensive knowledge of manufactured home chattel lending products, servicing practices, and industry-specific regulatory requirements
- Proficiency with compliance management systems, loan servicing platforms, and compliance technology tools
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex regulations, analyze data, identify trends, and assess risk
- Excellent project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to prepare compliance reports, policies, and training materials
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with fostering cross-department team development
- Proficiency in compliance management software and workflow tools
- Experience with loan servicing systems and platforms
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience with data analysis tools and reporting systems
- Knowledge of compliance testing and audit management software
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards
- Strong attention to detail with ability to identify compliance issues and control weaknesses
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in complex situations
- Proactive approach to risk identification and issue resolution
- Ability to influence and build consensus across organizational levels
- Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, evolving regulatory environment
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Legal Studies, or related field required
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
Nice To Haves
- Compliance certifications strongly preferred: Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM), Certified Mortgage Compliance Professional (CMCP), or similar professional credentials
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree is a plus but not required
